DIRECT THERMAL LABEL PRINTERS

    
Direct thermal label printer produces printed images by selectively heating the thermal-sensitive chemical coat, applied to paper or foil. Thermal transfer printers print with thermal transfer head, that presses the paper or foil label onto a driven rubber roller.  The thermal coat turns black in the areas where it is heated, producing an image. 
Direct thermal print is less resistant to light, heat and abrasion, that decreases the life of labels printed by this method.
Direct thermal printers are used for printing logistic labels, shelf labels and other applications in retail trade, where labels have short life.
